Another interview with another talented individual!

J.S Fields is a writer.

What is your favourite genre and why?

Science fiction–if well done, it shows us what our worlds could be, while still being rooted in the issues and struggles of today.

Who, or what, inspired you to write?

I think a lot of people have the same answer for this. I write what I write because it doesn’t exist, or if it does, there isn’t enough of it. Queer science fiction, especially with f/f relationships or enby main characters, is far too difficult to find. I write the stories I want to read.

Are there any writers, artists, or public figures that have inspired or influenced your work?

Most of my sci-fi love comes from the old sci-fi series that used to run on Fox back in the 90s. Shows like VR5, Time Trax, M.A.N.T.I.S., showed me what was possible, just not with the types of characters I wanted.

Do you use the Oxford Comma?

Have you been published or is there a piece of work that is going to be available for purchase soon?

I write both nonfiction (science-themed) and SFF. My most recent publication was in October 2017 and was the second in my space opera trilogy: ARDULUM: SECOND DON. This series is very much a queer Firefly, with f/f arcs and enby point of view characters.

Where can we find you or your writing?
