Hey, everyone! It’s been a while since I last wrote anything but sometimes life just gets in the way…even more so when you’ve got to clean out and tidy up and pack things in preparation for a move overseas, but that’s not what this post is about. I’m writing to share a new recipe with you all that I made up at my sister’s request (important to note is that it was inspired by a lot of the food shows I’ve been watching lately which were in the middle east (Morrocco, India and the like)…it’s for yummy mildly spicy chicken pieces; of course, you can also edit the recipe yourselves to either make it spicier or to make more…and as a bonus, it’s dairy-free, gluten-free and lactose-free!

This recipe only does eight pieces of chicken and the recipe is below! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it and eating it.

Spicy Chicken Strips

1dsp Chilli Powder
1dsp Turmeric
1dsp Garlic & Herb Salt
1dsp Paprika
1tbsp Vegetable Oil
Pinch of Black Pepper

8pcs Chicken Strips

Method:

Combine spices in a small bowl, add oil and mix to a paste. Brush over chicken pieces. Put in preheated frying pan on a medium-high heat and cook until done. Serve with salad greens or bread or even hash browns, it doesn’t really matter, and enjoy!

Please note that if the paste is a little too thick, then feel free to add a bit of extra oil to thin it out some more…also, when frying the coated chicken strips, don’t worry about the coating looking like it’s burnt; it’s not really (unless you actually do burn it), just kinda crunchy and it doesn’t affect the chicken underneath…I suppose the coating itself just goes crispy but it still tastes just as good.

My siblings and I had our chicken strips with grilled hash browns which were actually really good. Anyway, enjoy the new recipe and the rest of your week!

Love,
Kyrena x
