We will always be here to provide our usual services of advice, talk, and assistance.

But, as time goes on, we’re having some difficulty – with the lack of funding we’re having problems with staffing and writing production.

Therefore, we are having to make some changes and we’re curious about what you think. So, please view the poll below and pick the option you think would be best.

We have done well considering our funding is £200 a year (coming out of my own pocket), but something has to go.

Here is some Pros and Cons of each:

Butterfly Pride – This magazine has been going almost as long as the organisation itself. It started on January 1st, 2014, a year after we began.

  • It’s full of content.
  • You can download it and read offline.
  • You can advertise your work for free.
  • Contest Winners get featured in it.

Cons:

  • It’s only released once a month.
  • It’s typically only 7 articles long.
  • It’s not always released at a reliable time.
  • It can often take a lot longer to download than it does to read.

Quick Fix – This magazine has been going since May 2015. It began as a weekly magazine but was a fortnightly magazine for a while in 2016 due to technical issues.

Pros:

  • It’s full of content.
  • You can download it and read offline.
  • You can advertise your work for free.

Cons:

  • It’s only released once a week.
  • Never entirely reliable due to technical and writer issues.
  • It can often take a lot longer to download than it does to read.
  • It typically only holds 4-5 articles.

Blog – We started the blog on January 31st, 2013 – at first it was just mental health and LGBT+ advice but it soon spread to advice on bullying and discrimination.

Pros:

  • It has regular content.
  • It has a wide variety of content.
  • It has something for everyone.
  • You can request content.
  • You can advertise your work, an event, or business for free.
  • You can read it on any device.

  • It’s usually released every day but may not be on occasion (you will be informed why through our Facebook page).
